ResponsibleLiving is dedicated to creating sustainable, community-driven co-housing solutions in Squamish. With two successful co-living projects already housing residents, we are expanding our impact with future developments. To support these projects, we are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Funding & Grants Research Coordinator to identify funding opportunities and navigate application processes.
About the Role
As a Funding & Grants Research Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in identifying and securing funding sources—both non-dilutive (grants, government incentives) and dilutive (impact investments, private funding)—to support our co-housing projects. You will work closely with our management team to:
• Research & Identify available funding opportunities at the provincial (BC) and federal (Canada-wide) levels, including government grants, housing funds, private investment programs, and financial incentives for sustainable housing.
• Build & Maintain a comprehensive funding database with eligibility criteria, deadlines, application requirements, and key contacts.
• Assist in Applications by compiling necessary documentation, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and drafting key sections for submission.
• Schedule Meetings & Follow-Ups with funding agencies, government officials, and potential investors to advance funding discussions.
• Learn & Understand ResponsibleLiving’s business model and co-housing vision, ensuring alignment between funding sources and our mission.

• Strong research and analytical skills – ability to find and synthesize funding opportunities.
• Excellent organizational skills – experience with spreadsheets and tracking multiple deadlines.
• Strong written communication – drafting funding applications and outreach emails.
• Self-motivated and proactive – able to take initiative and follow up on opportunities.
• Interest in affordable housing, sustainable development, and impact investing is a plus.
